Friday 26th October saw Rhondas team up with Terrigal’s freshest (and only) surf cafe Ocean Haus and locally owned Teams Challenge Australia to hold an evening art auction aimed at raising the funds for the Central Coast Disabled Surfers Association.
The show mostly comprised of local artists saw an impressive turn out of attendees looking to get a glimpse of the Coast’s best artworks and a few looking to pick up something extra special for the wall at home.
Bidding was strong, all items sold with Trent “Burger” Whiteheads original artwork taking top price for a single item fetching $2300, bought by local builder and all round good guy Riley Lynch of Riley Lynch Carpentry. Riley was instrumental in renovating Rhonda’s so it was good vibes all round seeing him win the item he came for. “Frothing on it” was what he had to say about his purchase.
All in all through the auction of artworks the night surpassed the goal of 5k landing just shy of 7k which will all be donated over to the Central Coast Disabled Surfers Association. These monies will assist in putting more disabled surfers across the beach and into the ocean, bringing smiles and good vibes for all. We couldn’t be happier at the turn out due to artworks donated, thank you again to everyone involved and we look forward to holding another charity event in a few months.
